Several dates have been discussed. The 9th? the 16th? Which bars / restaurants are taking place? (Rolling the dice)

It is the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day. Making it any other day, e.g. the ninth, would just be confusing.
I have no idea on the participants, so I will just list every place to get a beer in no particular order.

Ref Ken's answer, St. Patrick's Day is Sunday, March 17 in 2013. While pub crawling, if you are bold, you can try some of Irish songs for St. Patrick's Day, including the great, "Seven Drunken Nights." Search "irish songs site:st-patricks-day.com." I don't have the cred' to publish a link for you.
